Swingtime Boston - Swing, Latin, Ballroom dancing for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered community and allies

Swingtime is a not for profit organization, run entirely by volunteers. The goal is to hold one dance / per month, generally on the first Sat. of the month. DJ music, free dance lessons and free refreshments are provided. The atmosphere is very casual, friendly and conducive to learning to dance and have fun -- no partner needed! Basic swing dance lessons are usually provided. Sometimes an instructor will teach other dance steps such as cha cha, merengue or Texas - Two Step. All genres of music are included in the Swingtime mix with an emphasis on big band and lounge music. All the ballroom dances are done as well as swing, country and Latin.

Swingtime tickets are $12 for most dances, $15 when a live band is playing. Parking is available in the spaces attached to the Brookline Academy of Dance and on the street. Swingtime is an alcohol-free and smoke-free environment.
